Palm Beach County Municipal Election Recap

Twenty-one Palm Beach County municipalities voted to elect residents to their councils and commissions on March 14th. The Realtors® Association of the Palm Beaches screened and supported 16 total candidates in 7 cities or villages. After the votes were tallied and the winners announced, the Realtor® Party came out on top in 12 races!

In Boca Raton, incumbent Susan Haynie (Mayor) and Scott Singer (Seat A) came out top with substantial margins of victory to retain their seats. In Delray Beach, Royal Palm Beach and North Palm Beach, RAPB supported the winning candidates in each race. Palm Beach Gardens saw Realtor® Party candidates Mark Marciano and Matthew Lane cruise to victories while Joe Russo will continue to campaign in a closely watched runoff election to be held on March 28th.

In Greenacres, where one of the hot button issues was the Fire Assessment Fee, Realtor® Champion Paula Bousquet won her race by receiving over 50% of the total votes. We also would like to congratulate newly elected Mayor Joel Flores on a hard fought victory over a sitting Councilman.

The Realtors® Association of the Palm Beaches would like to congratulate all the newly elected Councilmembers and Commissioners. RAPB looks forward to working with all elected officials to protect private property rights, increase homeownership, and continue to help the real estate industry grow in Palm Beach County.
