Keeping you informed about Coral Springs
The United States Supreme Court has ruled that municipalities can no longer differentiate between regulations for different type of signs. For example, Real Estate signs cannot be regulated differently that other types of signs.
Therefore, many cities are now forced to change their sign ordinances. Not wanting dozens of cookie cutter signs but respecting Real Estate and its importance to the community, cities have been forced to choose between allowing no directional Real Estate signs or regulating the amount.
In Coral Springs, the city established a compromise Pilot Program that allows up to 6 signs at certain times. If officials are not satisfied with the level of compliance, they will pull the program and no directional signs will be allowed.
The city will host a meeting tomorrow to go over Pilot Program questions now that the program has been in place for a few weeks. Our Senior Government Affairs Director, Adam Sanders, will be in attendance, and Realtor® members are welcome to attend:
