On March 13th, voters in Broward and Palm Beach County chose who they believed would best serve their local communities. In the weeks leading up to the election, the Realtors® of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale invited all candidates to participate in a candidate screening process in which they were evaluated on their position of private property rights, taxation and their vision for the respective municipality.

After the votes were tallied, 18 RAPB+GFLR supported candidates won their elections! The eighteen wins included a clean sweep in Broward County totaling 7 wins, which included Dean Trantalis’ landslide victory to become the new Mayor of Fort Lauderdale. In West Palm Beach, the District 5 race saw political newcomer Christina Lambert unseat an incumbent in nail-biting fashion. Delray Beach had one of the highest voter turnouts on record and welcomes two new commissioners in Adam Frankel and Ryan Boylston.

The City of Lake Worth opted to keep Realtor® Champions Mayor Pam Triolo and Commissioner Scott Maxwell for another term while Royal Palm Beach overwhelmingly voted to retain Selena Smith on the Village Council.

The Realtors® of the Palm Beach and Greater Fort Lauderdale congratulates all the newly elected and reelected officials on their victories. We look forward to continuing our partnership in protecting private property rights and enhancing the real estate industry.
