RAPB + GFLR Partners with Port St. Lucie to Offer Open House Map

Last September, RAPB + GFLR was asked to help craft an update to the City of Port St. Lucie’s sign code. During discussions with our Realtor® members, the idea of an open house map was brought up. The City currently offers a similar service for garage sales, where residents post the time, date and location of their garage sale. The service is widely liked and utilized by residents.

Port St. Lucie first created an application and website that would put Realtors® and agents at risk of violating Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) Advertising rules. After weeks of discussion and negotiation between City and RAPB + GFLR staff, the City agreed to bring the website into compliance with FREC rules. To be clear, this is not a requirement to hold an open house within the City. The website is just an added benefit for Realtors®.

RAPB + GFLR would like to thank Councilwoman Stephanie Morgan and Councilman John Carvelli for their quick action to ensure Realtors® can utilize the website and promote their open houses without fear of violating FREC advertising rules.
