Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) is the sixth largest school district in the nation and the second largest in the state of Florida. BCPS is Florida’s first fully accredited school system since 1962. Palm Beach County is home to the 11th-largest school district in the nation with 188,808 students spread across more than 187 schools. Palm Beach County School District (PBCSD) was one of two large urban counties to receive an "A" rating from the State of Florida. PBCSD edged out Broward and Miami-Dade counties to receive this top honor. The St. Lucie County School District, more widely known as St. Lucie Public Schools, is home to 38 traditional schools and more than 36,000 students. St. Lucie Public Schools is led by Superintendent Wayne Gent and a 5-member School Board. The district's graduation rate rose 11.3% over that last year and is up a total of 21.4% since 2010.
